ILD (Interstitial Lung Disease) CLINIC

ILD is a broad term used to describe a group of lung disorders characterized by inflammation and scarring of the lung tissue. Patients with ILD may have features of autoimmune diseases so prompt diagnosis and a comprehensive treatment plan is crucial for early recovery. ILD can be caused by medication, radiation therapy, connective tissue disease or inhaling harmful substances. Approximately 10-30% of RA patients develop ILD during the course of their disease. Lung damage caused by ILD is often irreversible.
